The Goal is to Raise $200,000.00

We want to raise funds to pay off the mortgage for just one (1) Goldstar family. Lou Paulson has contacted the organization and was told that there are approximately two hundred (200) families on their waiting list. The average amount needed to pay off one mortgage is approximately Two Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($200,000.00). Therefore, Two Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($200,000.00) will be our goal. Since I’ve had a great deal of experience planning golf tournaments in the past, I decided that a golf tournament would be a great way to raise the necessary funds.

The Tournament

The golf tournament is scheduled for September 26, 2023 and will be played at the Virginia Beach National Golf Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia. All donations collected will go to providing the funds necessary to pay off a Gold Star family’s mortgage. All expenses of the tournament will be paid by sponsors. Therefore, whatever funds are collected will be applied toward the Two Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($200,000.00) goal. I will keep everyone informed of our progress through newsletters and additional correspondence. If you would like to participate in this worthwhile endeavor, there are many ways to participate I’ve listed just a few below.
1) Volunteer to help on the administrative committee;
2) Sponsor specific aspects of the tournament such as: tournament sponsor, food sponsor, drink sponsor, lunch sponsor, hole sponsor, team sponsor.
